Wicketkeeper-batsman Craig Kieswetter is confident England can resurrect their troubled tour of the United Arab Emirates and overcome Pakistan in the limited overs series which starts on 13 February.

After being whitewashed three-nil in the Test series, Kieswetter believes England will be back to their best in the four-match ODI series.

"England have a fantastic one-day side with a lot of good players in it. There's no reason they can't go on and win this series ahead," said the 24-year-old.

"All the lads are really looking forward to it. It's a great opportunity to showcase our talents and put on a good show for everyone watching."

Kieswetter was part of the England Lions side which recently toured Sri Lanka and the South Africa-born player believes that was the perfect preparation for the tour of the UAE.

The England ODI side will take on the England Lions in a warm-up match in Abu Dhabi on Friday.

"We worked really hard over there. It was a long tour, a tough tour and to beat Sri Lanka was a fantastic achievement. All the lads are full of confidence going into Friday's game," added Kieswetter.

"Definitely, it's an opportunity to progress our cricket and playing in the sub-continent is always beneficial. The learning experience was fantastic."
