West Indies batsman Marlon Samuels has been found guilty of breaching the International Cricket Council's code of conduct after an investigation into his links to a bookmaker.
A West Indies Cricket Board disciplinary committee concluded that Samuels had "received money, benefit or other reward which could bring him or the game of cricket into disrepute".
The committee had looked into charges that the Jamaican passed on team information to a bookmaker during West Indies' one-day series in India in January 2007.
The findings have been passed onto the ICC, who are likely to give Samuels the mandatory two-year ban for such offences.
However, the WICB disciplinary committee said they would prefer for Samuels not to face a ban but to be "bound over to be of good behaviour for a period not exceeding two years".
Samuels, 27, has played 29 Test and 107 one-day internationals for West Indies since his debut in October 2000.
